Willowbrook Mill welcomes Chef Abra Berens back to Northport on Sunday, December 15 for a special Northern Michigan dinner event.

It’s been a minute since Abra farmed her way into our hearts at Bare Knuckle Farm. We’ve missed her smile at the summer farmer’s market in Northport. In the meantime, this talented chef has been off creating culinary magic and writing Ruffage, her first cookbook, which made the ranks of The New York Times and Bon Appetite’s top 12 best new cookbooks of spring 2019! Abra has been busy traveling the country for promotions and book signings and being interviewed by a variety of media outlets, including the crew at CBS This Morning.

This gourmet dinner event featuring Chef Abra at Willowbrook Mill will begin with a variety of appetizers followed by a multi-course meal paired with the best of Big Little Winery and Earthen Ales. Each dinner ticket includes a signed copy of Ruffage: A Practical Guide To Vegetables.

A portion of the proceeds from this event will be donated to World Central Kitchen. Founded by Chef Jose Andres, this organization is dedicated to providing clean cookstoves, culinary training programs and social enterprise ventures that empower communities and strengthen economies. The organization operates in many global locations and provides emergency services when disasters strike. These “First Food Responders” serve millions of meals each year.
