Premium Wine & Cheese Tasting | Recurring Throughout September & October

Looking for an elevated wine tasting experience that is more relaxed and catered to you? Join Black Star Farms for a Premium Wine & Cheese Tasting. This guided table service tasting includes six wines chosen to compliment your palate, along with a souvenir glass and an artisan cheese board with house-made crackers, spicy nut mix and chocolate. Sit back and relax as you sip, nibble and excite your senses.

Estate & Wine Tasting | Recurring Throughout September & October

Go behind the scenes and experience Black Star Farms in a whole new way. A 45-minute guided tour will show you the breathtaking property on the Leelanau Peninsula  and teach you about the journey from grape to glass. The tour is followed by a premium tasting featuring internationally award-winning wines, cider and spirits. Black Star Farms is a one-of-a-kind destination. The 160-acre, family-owned estate sits in the heart of Northern Michigan Wine Country. With a hillside vineyard that welcomes you upon arrival, the estate features a palatial inn, café, stables, barns and outlying paddocks, hiking trails and tasting room.

Sunday Brunch | September 29 & October 6, 13, 20, 27

Start your day off right with a farm-fresh brunch in the heart of wine country! Choose from a selection of locally inspired menu items like house-smoked salmon benedict, house-made corned beef hash and brie stuffed French toast. Dine in the cozy café, or enjoy the views on a spacious patio. Your ticket includes juice, coffee, a mimosa (or alcohol-free mimosa) and a plated brunch item. Make it a day and explore the hiking trails, visit the farm’s animals, check out the chef’s garden and sample wine in the tasting room.

Harvest Dinner – Fall Squash and Apples | October 9 

The Black Star events team invites you to an evening you’ll remember forever. The farm’s historic Pegasus Barn will be the rustic, yet elegant, backdrop for this month’s Harvest Dinner which will feature fall favorites—squash and apples—throughout the menu. Tickets limited to 50 guests.

Harvest Dinner – Fall in the Forest | November 2

These wine-paired culinary experiences are inspired by the best locally grown, seasonal ingredients sourced from Northern Michigan’s finest farms along with Black Star Farm’s own farm in Suttons Bay. In November, the menu will honor fall in the forest featuring wild game and late-season mushrooms. Tickets limited to 50 guests.
