Dirty Laundry Monologues | July 13

Let’s face it, laundry isn’t a fun chore … but what if you didn’t even have the luxury to provide clean clothes for your family? Unfortunately, not everyone has a clean set of clothes, even here in the Traverse City community. The Dirty Laundry Monologues event is making it their mission to help those who can’t afford to continuously wear clean clothes have the opportunity to do a load of laundry. With the help of this event they hope to raise money for the cause. The evening will feature music by four-time Emmy winner Jabo Bihlman, Broadway actress Rebecca Bellingham coaching locals in storytelling, and a wide variety of food and drink options. Tickets are priced at $35 and can be bought at

Eagle Run | July 13–15

The Forgotten Eagles of Michigan are coming together to hold their fourth annual Motorcycle/Auto ride and first-ever Side by Side Poker Run fundraiser. Proceeds raised will go to help veterans in Michigan. The event will take place on the historic and beautiful grounds of Mount Mancelona and will feature music, a silent disco DJ tent and a wide variety of food. Forgotten Eagles Veterans receive free admissions and all other veterans are given discounted ticket prices. Tickets range from $10–$15 for youth and $20–$30 for adults. Camping is available and the cost varies.

Bubbly BBQ | July 14

Summer is here and barbeque season is in full swing. Put your grill away for a night, and head out to L. Mawby Winery to experience the true meaning of a good summer barbeque. Local meat and produce provided by Raduno in Traverse City will be highlighted on the menu paired with Mawby’s bubbles. There will be plenty of food and fun taking place regardless of the weather.
