Romance Guaranteed | Multiple Performances, February 9–24

A romantic comedy in the age of the internet. After connecting through a computer dating service, a mismatched couple meets for their first date in a seedy Detroit restaurant. The woman, a nervous introvert, and the man, a wildly eccentric extrovert, gradually get to know each other with the help of their wise-cracking waitress. The Valentine’s Day performance includes dinner for two at The Filling Station followed by the evening’s show right next door at The Depot!

Celebrity DreamRoom Classic | February 9

Bring your sweetie for some pre-Valentine’s Day fun and enjoy delicious food, beer and wine, live music, door prizes and more. The DreamRoom Classic is a friendly competition between five local celebrities who team up with designers at Golden-Fowler to create the room of their dreams. Anything goes, and when the creative spaces are complete, the public is invited into the Traverse City furniture store to vote on each room’s popularity. The value of each vote is $1, and 100% of the proceeds will be donated to Child and Family Services of Northwestern Michigan. This year, they hope to raise $40,000!

Aonach Mor Moonlight Dinner | February 9 + 10

The evening begins with a sleigh ride from the Main Lodge lobby to the North Peak at Boyne Highlands Resort. Upon arrival, guests disembark to an inviting bonfire before taking their seats at candlelit tables. On clear nights, the lights of the Mackinac Bridge add to the stunning ambiance. Kelly Shively and Dan House Special Valentines Concert | February 16

Two talented Northern Michigan musicians unite to present this evening of music to celebrate Valentine’s Day. Kelly Shively is a multi-instrumentalist from Petoskey. She sings the songs of her heart, written about her family and faith. Dan House was originally a rock-and-roller, then began a journey through folk, jazz, and various other genres. The duo will perform at Red Sky Stage in Petoskey.

Romancing the Riesling | February 17

This annual event by the Wineries of Old Mission Peninsula celebrates riesling, one of the varietals for which our wine region is most celebrated. Sweetheart Swing Big Band Dance | February 17

Dance the night away with Gaylord Area Council for the Arts. Dance lessons begin at 6 p.m. and the Up North Big Band entertains from 7–10 p.m. at the Otsego Club Convention Center. A cash bar will be available.
