This movie explores the pivotal role historically black colleges and universities have played over the course of 150 years in American history, culture, and identity. The free event starts at 7 p.m. and is a part of the Dennos Museum Film Series.

Winter Microbrew & Music Festival | February 10

This year the event is at Mount Mancelona, a historic ski hill and lodge just north of Mancelona. Grand Traverse Art Bomb – Encore Reception | February 10            

This is a collaborative art show featuring talent from across Northern Michigan. The show runs until April 7 at Right Brain Brewery and will feature three reception events throughout the show’s duration.
