Annette & Cody Pattison

With a romantic Maui engagement (sunrise at Haleakala National Park) to launch their life together, Annette Niergarth and Cody Pattison headed to their home state to be wed. With 160 of the couple’s closest friends and family members looking on, Annette married Cody on October 7, 2017, at the renovated historic Starry Night Barn in Suttons Bay, Michigan. The non-traditional ceremony took place in the tree-fringed field behind the barn and included the tying of a fisherman’s knot to symbolize the couple’s unity. A light autumn rain held off long enough for the ceremony and pictures to be completed, and for guests to enjoy cocktails and yard games. As falling rain hummed on the barn’s metal roof, the bridal party and guests enjoyed an intimate evening that moved from dinner to dancing beneath the ancient rafters.
