The Home Builders Association of the Grand Traverse Area welcomes homeowners, do-it-yourselfers, dreamers and folks who just want to get out of the house this weekend, to the 2018 Home EXPO on Saturday, January 20, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, January 21, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the Grand Traverse Resort. The Home Expo, now in its 34th year, provides homeowners and remodelers an opportunity to meet with top building professionals to discuss their home projects before the building season begins in spring. The Home EXPO, showcases 137 display booths from Northern Michigan resources and focuses on new building trends, products, ideas and inspiration.

This year, the EXPO is focusing on healthy homes, with seven informative “Healthy Home” seminars, free to all ticket holders. Topics include air quality, water quality, energy efficient windows and home automation. The popular seminar, “I’ve Decided to Build or Remodel, Now What Do I Do?” returns.

More than 2,000 people are expected; the Grand Traverse Expo is one of the largest building industry events in Northern Michigan. Exhibitors include landscapers, window companies, flooring providers, heating and cooling, roofing, cabinetry, design and more. Homeowners and remodelers are encouraged to bring their plans and ideas to explore options…there are many! Go early to get a free copy of Northern Home & Cottage magazine, while supplies last.
