Calling all aspiring writers!

Are you looking to put what you learn into practice and submit to the Project Cinema MI short screenplay contest? On Saturday, September 9 from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at NMC’s Scholar Hall, Project Cinema MI presents a special opportunity to explore the basics of writing for the screen, with practical tips and tools specific to short film from Lesley Alicia Tye of Interlochen Arts Academy. She’ll be joined by special guest Benjamin Busch, an actor, writer, filmmaker, photographer, and United States Marine Corps Reserve Officer. He is best known for his portrayal of Anthony Colicchio on the HBO original series, The Wire. Check here for more info or to register for the seminar.

Project Cinema MI is a community film-making project that is featuring a screenwriting contest. Grand prize is $500 plus production of the script into a short film by Rich Brauer of Brauer Productions.
