Traverse City has two downtown parking garages:
Larry C. Hardy Parking Garage
Address: 303 E State Street
Hours: 7 a.m.–Midnight, Monday–Saturday; 7 a.m.–6 p.m., Sundays; *Closing times may be later depending on downtown events
Rates: $1 per hour, daily maximum of $10. Overnight parking is available but you’ll need to notify the attendant.
Old Town Parking Garage
Address: 125 East Eighth Street
Ground Floor Hours: Open 24 hours a day, seven days a week
Ground Floor Rates: $1 per hour; Overnight parking is free of charge on the ground level. Pay at one of the two pay stations 8 a.m.–6 p.m., Monday–Saturday
Upper Floors’ Hours: 7 a.m.–midnight, Sunday–Saturday,
Upper Floors Rates: $1 per hour, daily maximum of $10.
Downtown Traverse City: Metered Parking
Two Hour-Meters: South of Front Street and just east of Union Street. Also in the alley (behind the downtown shops) on the north side of the Boardman River between Union and Cass Streets.
Three-Hour Meters: Downtown along Front and State Streets.
Four-Hour Meters: East and west sides of Clinch Park on Grandview Parkway. Also in the parking lot on the south side of Grandview Parkway. approximately between Union and Cass Streets. Also on Front Street west of Union Street.
Ten Hour-Meters: Parking lot on the south side of Grandview Pkwy approximately between Union Street and Boardman Avenue. Also next to Clinch Marina.
Meter Enforcement: Monday–Saturday, 8 a.m.–6 p.m. No enforcement New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day).
