Chef Andi Pellici from As You Dish is no stranger to the Northern Michigan foodie scene. You may recall she was Traverse Magazine’s Local Foodie last year, with her delicious Goat Cheese & Saskatoon Jam Crostini recipe, or you may have tried her fantastic, kid-friendly Chocolate Cherry Granola recipe (if you haven’t, make it this weekend!).
Now, in addition to the personal catering services offered by As You Dish, you have the opportunity to learn how to cook fun new foods at their commercial kitchen located in the Grand Traverse Food Innovation Hub. These interactive As You Dish cooking classes are kept at a small size to allow for maximum involvement. The goal is to learn the techniques involved with each dish and understand which shortcuts can be used to make a task easier—mixed in wth little tidbits of each food’s culture!
During the month of March, you have the opportunity to explore three different Asian cuisines. There will be several other cuisines offered throughout the year including Middle Eastern, Moroccan, Tunisian and Eastern European—including a special pierogi workshop. Watch the calendar for more!
