Head downtown for a free family-friendly evening of music, dancing, and entertainment while waiting for the countdown to midnight. As the hour approaches, claim your spot to get a good view of the NYE ball touching down, and as the clock strikes midnight, watch as fireworks light up the winter sky over downtown!
What better way to ring in the New Year than dancing in the streets? Thousands gather for this celebration packed full of live entertainment and music. Dancing in the streets starts at 10 p.m. When the New Year arrives, watch the iconic lit cherry drop from 115 feet. There is a suggested donation of $3 or three non-perishable food items.

Celebrate the New Year all day long in Charlevoix. Family-friendly events start at noon and include horse-drawn carriage rides, a snowman contest, arts and crafts, face painting and a free showing of Finding Dory at Charlevoix Cinema III (4:30 p.m.). The evening fun begins with a spectacular fireworks show at 9 p.m.—this year, the best place to view them will be from East Park. At 8:30 p.m. and 11:30 p.m., Tommy Tropic One Man Circus Show will serenade revelers prior to the fireworks displays from the East Park location. The countdown to The Bridge Drop at midnight is on!
With a fresh take on the annual Marquette NYE festivities, Double Trouble Entertainment proudly presents the annual “Party With A Purpose” at The Masonic Building on West Washington St. The hotspot for locals and visitors alike offers dueling pianos, live bands and DJ’s, a magician, and a dessert bar with midnight champagne toast. Tickets are $10 per person, and proceeds benefit the Ahmed Shrine and Marquette Jr Hockey. The Marquette ball drop (which is right outside!) and the Ball Drop in New York City will both be streamed live.
