October 7: A Temptations Revue – Featuring Barrington “Bo” Henderson – A Temptations Revue featuring former lead singer of the Temptations and Grammy Award winner Barrington “Bo” Henderson (1998-2003) brings back the unforgettable songs of Motown. This dynamic and driving show spans more than a decade of Temptations classics, every one of these songs among the most recognizable and culture-defining songs in pop music history. October 7-9: Fall on the Island Festival – Enjoy a heated tent with The Taste of Drummond’s food vendors and Lily’s Seafood & Micro Brewery’s delicious microbrews, Golf Outing, 5K Walk/Run, live entertainment including dueling pianos, cornhole tournament, pub crawl, Bell’s Bears premier wood and stone sculpting, carving by the Lord of the Gourd and more! October 8: Harvest at the Commons – Third Annual Groundwork Center FUNdraiser. Traverse City’s own Harvest Restaurant will prepare an amazing family-style feast featuring the finest ingredients from the region’s farms. Indie-folk-rock band, The Crane Wives, is set to perform during the celebration that marks another year of working to protect the environment, strengthen the economy and build community. October 13: Shakespeare Reading Group – This group is open to all who have a love of Shakespeare and his writings. Meetings are once per month to read from the works of The Bard. they are strictly for fun and no homework will be assigned, no test given. 7 p.m., Ludington Area Center for the Arts.
