Some people dream of a second home “Up North” they can call their own 365 days a year whether they are there or not. Others prefer a more economical approach and have found a great solution with Fractional Real Estate Ownership—as in the case of Tamarack Lodge on East Grand Traverse Bay, where owners enjoy six weeks a year (spread throughout the 12 months on a rotating calendar) calling their residence home. Six deliciously relaxing weeks, we might add.
We’ll begin this story where each day at Tamarack Lodge starts and ends: on the lodge’s 800 feet of sandy shoreline. Every one of Tamarack’s three-, two- and one-bedroom residences looks straight out at that bay view—a long, sheltered arm of blue bordered by bucolic Old Mission Peninsula on the west and the lovely shoreline that winds to the harbor village of Elk Rapids on the east. From your patio you’ll spot the many amenities open to property owners: three grill stations—gassed up and ready for cooking—fire rings stocked with wood and the fixings for s’mores, pontoon excursions on the bay, and the lodge’s private moorings … maybe even your own boat bobbing at one of them?
Like all the residences at Tamarack, the one you’ll see on the tour has a long list of callouts: 1,521 square feet of fully furnished condominium that includes granite countertops in the spacious, fully-equipped kitchen; king-sized beds in the master bedroom; high-end Craftsman-style furnishings; beautiful gas fireplace and in-room washer and dryer. The best part, however, has to be the soaking tub in the master bedroom that looks out over the bay.
Special touches for property owners provided by the staff at Tamarack Lodge really round out the “Up North” experience.
Among them are wine tasting, nightly s’mores at the beach bonfire, plus live entertainment for adults, weekend breakfast, chocolate chip cookies baked daily and much more! If you dream of a vacation home in Traverse City but aren’t sure you are ready to invest the time and money needed for a second home on the lakefront, make sure to put Tamarack Lodge on your tour list.
