Interlochen performances make our summer memorable, and they can do that for our autumn too. The arts center launches the fall lineup September 9 and 10 with The Guys, a forceful two-person (William Church, Interlochen’s theater director, and Laura Middlestadt, performance instructor) play about the immediate aftermath of the 9/11 attacks in New York City.

The Helsinki Chamber Choir visits October 1 to sing (40 voices!) an operatic piece written by Eugene Birman during a Lake Superior artist-in-residency.

Base Track Live (October 13) is a theatrical performance written by Iraqi War Veterans (at press time, Interlochen was working to team with soldiers from Camp Grayling—stay tuned).

And to make your holiday swell, The Canadian Brass appears December 1 for a can’t-miss collection of seasonal stalwarts.
