July 23: St. Ignace Fish Feast. Bring your appetite to the St. Ignace Marina pier, where live music, food and beverages are offered. Sample fish delicacies prepared by local restaurants; kids enjoy a variety of games including the Kid’s Trout Fishing Pond. July 24: Flower Farming Basics and Farm Tour. More than just a pretty face: Flowers can be a profitable business in addition to being simply beautiful. Thinking of starting your own Flower Farm? This event is for you. Join Michelle Verville of Perbellus Flower Farm as she takes us through proper bucket cleaning and prep, soil blocking and seed starting, field prep, planting and harvesting, pros and cons of various supplies, such as biodegradable plastic and trellis netting. July 26-31: 12th Annual Traverse City Film Festival. Six days of fabulous films. Schedule includes daily panel discussions with actors, directors and producers, classic films, award winning films and premiere films.
