Other Northern Michigan Events

July 31: ReQueening and Late Nucs Workshop. Join Meghan Milbrath of Northern Bee Network for this day-long workshop on Requeening and Late Nucs. Requeening is a basic and essential skill in beekeeping that allows you to replace a queen with a local queen, add in mite-resistant genetics, and give your hive the benefit of a young queen. Also, by learning how to make a nuc for your old queen, you get the benefit of having a queen on hand and an extra colony to replace one lost over the winter. Bear Creek Organic Farm, Petoskey. $37; 231.622.5252. MyNorthTickets.com.
