$1,900: That’s how much a caramel-apple-pecan pie baked by Donna Ervin, owner and dessert-maker extraordinaire at Onekama’s Glenwood restaurant, fetched at a Traverse City auction last autumn for U.S. Sen. Gary Peters. The pie, made with local Honeycrisp apples, normally retails for $13.95. Said Ervin upon hearing the news: “Time to raise the prices!”.
