April 16: The annual Titanic Dinner takes you back to 1912. Original newspapers and artifacts are on display as well as table settings representing first, second and third class passengers. Titanic Historian, David Kaplan, presents a visual and narrative program of the ship, its events and the effect it has had on history. The event starts at 6 p.m. at Stafford’s Perry Hotel in Petoskey. The cost is $65 per guest inclusive of tax and gratuity, hors d’oeuvres, a five-course dinner and the Kaplan presentation. April 17: Traverse City Chocolate Festival attendees will receive a Sampling Coupon for each exhibitor, who will also have their products available for purchase. Enjoy live music by Jim Hawley and enter for door prizes awarded every 15 minutes. Tickets are limited and cost $15 for adults and $8 for children 12 and under. April 17: Beethoven Fireworks Maestro Rhodes celebrates the life and work of Beethoven with his heroic Leonore Overture No. 3 filled with fire and action and the beloved Pastoral Symphony, conveying a continuous sense of joy and wonder at the beauty in nature. The Traverse Symphony Orchestra will perform at Corson Auditorium in Interlochen at 3 p.m. Tickets cost $20-$58 and are available at MyNorthTickets.com.

April 18: YOU are a Great STORY uses the art of narrative to shape others’ understanding of who you are and what you do. The workshop is for freelancers, artists and entrepreneurs who need help writing their about section. It will be held at BLK MRKT Coffee in Traverse City at 6 p.m. Tickets cost $50 and are available at MyNorthTickets.com.

April 21-24:  Three photographers and a writer will share their experiences from a trip last year to Havana, Cuba. The exhibit, Havana 2015, will be at the Old Art Building in Leland. For more information, call 231.256.2131.
