ELK RAPIDS: Fused glass artist Debra Coburn will be teaching two workshops in Elk Rapids at Twisted Fish Gallery in April.

The workshops will be held Thursday evenings, April 14 and 21, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. The cost for both sessions is $110 and includes all materials, plus firing the glass. Students will make two small dishes and two coasters of their own design. Students must attend both sessions in order to complete the projects. Classes are open to beginning and experienced artists and size is limited. Registration is required.

Coburn is an experienced teacher who learned how to fuse glass while in Portland, Oregon. She continued to learn during trips to North Carolina, New York, and Florida until she was able to combine her newfound love with her long-term career. She now teaches glass fusion workshops while still creating her own works.

Call 231.264.0123 to register for the workshops. For more information, go to www.twistedfishart.com.

Twisted Fish Gallery is located at 10443 S. Bayshore Dr., one mile south of Elk Rapids.
