HARBOR SPRINGS: For a hot time in the cold winter, visit Harbor Springs for the 12th Annual Harbor Springs Chili Cook-Off! Amateurs and foodservice professionals alike will compete in the contest at Stafford’s Pier in downtown Harbor Springs. Professional participants compete to win the Annual Chili Bowl Trophy while the amateur contestants vie for a Chamber Gift Certificate ($100 and $50 cash value for 1st and 2nd places respectively).

Last year had a record of 21 entries (12 professionals and 9 amateurs), and this year promises to be even better! Come join us Sunday, February 14 from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m. and enjoy a variety of warm, home-cooked chili and fun competition. Admission is $12 for adults and $5 for children (8-12 years old).

The Northern Michigan event is partnering once again with the Harbor Springs Food Pantry to help keep the shelves full throughout the winter. Everyone attending the cook-off is encouraged to bring non-perishable items for donation. Food pantries throughout Emmet, Charlevoix, and Antrim counties have seen a continued growth in the numbers of families seeking assistance. Food, cleaning supplies, paper products, toiletries, and even pet food, are greatly appreciated.

We also especially thank this year’s event sponsors Birchwood Farm Golf & Country Club of Harbor Springs for their support in this event!

Information regarding participation, location and more may be found online at www.visitharborsprings.com or by visiting the event page on Facebook. The event is open to everyone so we encourage you to participate and/or attend!

The Harbor Springs Chili Cook-Off is hosted by the Harbor Springs Area Chamber and supported by local establishments.
