The Book of Liz is coming to the stage in Traverse City at the Old Town Playhouse’s Studio Theatre with performances throughout February.

The play tells the story of Elizabeth, a girl who is infamous for her humorous spirit. Liz is the under-appreciated genius behind the delicious cheese balls that serve as a religious community’s financial backbone. When her patience is tested by the local brethren, she resolves to run away and experience the outside world.

Join director Bette Killian and cast for this comically dramatic performance. The Book of Liz is stuffed with laughter!

There will be evening performances at 7:30 p.m. on February 5, 6, 11-13, and 18-20. There will be two matinee showings at 2:00 p.m. on February 7 and 14. Tickets cost $17.

The Studio Theatre at the Depot is located at 620 Railroad Place on the corner of E. Eighth Street and Woodmere Avenue in Traverse City.
