PETOSKEYCamp Daggett offers a variety of activities for families this winter, including their Torchlight Snow Shoe event, Father/Son Weekend, and special events at the Camp Daggett Adventure Center. All events at the Petoskey camp aim to enjoy Northern Michigan’s outdoors.

On January 30 and February 27 from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m., experience and enjoy the ambiance of snow-covered trails illuminated by torchlight at the Petoskey camp’s Torchlight Snow Shoe event. Bearcub Outfitters of Petoskey has once again graciously sponsored this family-fun event. Afterward, come inside Camp Daggett’s main lodge for a cup of hot chocolate, freshly baked cookies and to warm-up by the crackling fire in camp’s beautiful main lodge. Plus, you can buy raffle tickets for great Bearcub products with all proceeds going to Camp Daggett. Admission is free, donations are encouraged, and snowshoes are available for all ages!

Fathers, stepfathers, grandfathers or big brothers are invited to bring their sons (ages 8-16) for a fun filled Father/Son Weekend March 11 to 13 at Camp Daggett. Cost is $150 for father/son, plus $50 for each additional son.  Space is limited and registration is on a first come first served basis. Participants can expect a weekend of fun and adventure as they try their hands at various outdoor activities and enjoy wild game lunches and dinners in front of the lodge fireplace.  For additional information or to register, please contact Ed Leverenz at Camp Daggett, 231-347-9742 ext 112.

If you’re looking for a way to beat the winter blues, or want to schedule a birthday party or family retreat at the Camp Daggett Adventure Center, the cost is $20 per person, which includes initiatives and high climbing walls, plus a room to do cake and ice cream. Minimum for this two-hour event is 15 people for a total of $300.  It’s a great way to spend the day, play and learn together.
