TRAVERSE CITY: The 2015-16 season of “Swirl,” Crooked Tree Arts Center’s popular tasting event, will kick off on Thursday, October 15, from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. in CTAC’s Traverse City gallery, located at 322 Sixth Street.

The event will feature artisan Northern Michigan cider and mead tastings from Acoustic Draft Mead, and food pairings by chef Andi Pellicci of As You Dish Catering. Swirl guests will also enjoy live music by flutist Nancy Stagnitta, with Ron Getz on guitar. On display will be the Crooked Tree Arts Center Members Show, an eclectic collection showcasing CTAC artist-members’ work in a variety of media.

The October Swirl is co-presented by Michigan Legacy Art Park, an inspiring sculpture park located on a scenic 30-acre preserve in Benzie County, near Crystal Mountain.
