TRAVERSE CITY: Traverse City State Bank is organizing a community cash mob on Thursday, August 6 to support the West Front Street Business District in downtown Traverse City, which has been hit hard by this summer’s West Front Street construction project. Help spread the word about this Northern Michigan event that is all about giving back

The intent of the West Front Ca$h Mob is to bring the Grand Traverse area community together to spend money and to build exposure for the West Front business district. While many believe that the improvements made to the district will be beneficial once the project is complete, the construction project has hurt the business district during its busiest time of year.

“We’re in the business of helping our community’s businesses and organizations thrive. We see them suffering and we want to help them. We look forward to seeing the community come out and support these local businesses on Thursday. Buy some flowers, grab a cup of coffee, meet a friend for lunch. Let’s show them that local businesses are at the heart of our community,” shared Cindy Godmer, Branch Manager of Traverse City State Bank’s downtown branch.

The West Front Ca$h Mob event will run from 7 am to 7 pm on Thursday, August 6. Area residents are encouraged to support businesses in the West Front Street Business District, which runs from The Flower Station down to The Cheese Lady on West Front Street.
