When complete, the Sleeping Bear Dunes Heritage Trail will stretch 27 miles through Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. Use this interactive map to find trail conditions, parking, restrooms and other stops along the way.
The non-motorized trail is open to hikers, bicyclists, walkers and cross-country skiers. It passes popular attractions like the Dune Climb and Glen Haven beach, and visitors can grab lunch in downtown Glen Arbor or Empire.
Before setting out on the bike trail, MyNorth staffers stopped by The Cyclery at Crystal River Outfitters in Glen Arbor to rent bikes.
