TRAVERSE CITY: The City of Traverse City would like to thank Traverse City Tourism for sponsoring two additional water bottle filling stations in Downtown Traverse City! Their generous donation has allowed for the purchase and placement of water bottle filling stations in the Jay Smith Walkway and at the corner of Union Street and State Street.

Other sponsors include the National Cherry Festival (Grandview Parkway and Union Street), Hagerty (Open Space), CH2M HILL (F&M Park), Mayor Michael Estes and Rhonda Estes (Grand Traverse Area Veterans Memorial Park), and an additional donor, who wishes to remain anonymous (Volleyball Courts near the Open Space). We have also had various other donations from individuals in our community to help support this great initiative.

These water bottle filling stations allow users to enjoy fresh water using the fountain or by filling their reusable water bottles, protecting our gorgeous natural resources! The City invites everyone to stop by these locations for some clean, fresh water!

If you are interested in sponsoring a water bottle filling station, locations for additional stations have been identified. It is the vision of the City Commission and the staff of the City of Traverse City to see stations available in every park and various other locations within the City.

If you are interested in funding a station or wish to make a tax deductible gift, please send your contribution to: City of Traverse City, c/o Katie Stroven, Deputy City Clerk, 400 Boardman Avenue, Traverse City, Michigan 49684.
