BAY HARBOR: In an area long known as a timeless retreat and within a resort setting affording magnificent waterfront views comes Vintage Chophouse/Wine Bar. Located at The Inn at Bay Harbor, an award-winning member of Marriott International’s collection of Renaissance Hotels, Vintage is welcoming and rich in history, embodying the charm of the classic all-American steakhouse, and complemented by elements of an upscale lounge. The restaurant is set to open in late May.

Reflecting the elegance and glory of a bygone era, and accented with modern subtleties, Vintage Chophouse/Wine Bar offers lakeside dining at its finest. Higher standards and excellence in service rank tops among the venue’s many distinctive assets which are sure to set it apart from the array of worthy stops on the Petoskey area’s thriving food, craft-brewing, and wine trails. With unobstructed views of Lake Michigan, patio seating redefines the dining experience at Vintage, where only the famed “Million Dollar Sunsets” rival the polished interior.

The transformation of an abandoned shale quarry into the shoreline splendor known as Bay Harbor is symbolic to Vintage’s creative menu where classically simple offerings are exquisitely prepared. Executive Chef Barbie Papi’s creations feature modern interpretations of traditional cuts and ‘chops’ resulting in unique tastes and innovative presentations, with distinctive northern Michigan flair.

Gracious hospitality has long been a hallmark of The Inn and paired with the ‘shaken, not stirred’ swagger of its beverage program—consisting of martinis, classic cocktails, and intriguing wine labels, Vintage Chophouse/Wine Bar offers boundless reason for it to quickly earn status as a favorite destination for social and relaxing gatherings.  Ports and hand-crafted desserts are encouraged extravagances and a fitting way to round off the Vintage experience.

“We are fortunate to have a passionate crew of designers and carpenters hard at work on this exciting new dining destination,” says Ami Klykken, director of operations for The Inn at Bay Harbor. “Vintage is stylish and so are our local foodies and resort patrons. It’s a sure fit.”

Additional news of the restaurant’s food and beverage offerings, concept, décor, and management team will be released in the coming weeks.

Vintage Chophouse/Wine Bar is pacing to welcome guests starting the last week of May. ‘Hiring Now’ announcements are posted on The Inn’s website and will run in local newspapers beginning next week. Applications are currently being accepted.
