NASHVILLE, Tenn: Dove Award winning recording artist Phillips, Craig & Dean will perform live at East Bay Calvary Church on Friday, March 6, 2015 at 7:00pm.
Since their first release in 1991, Phillips, Craig & Dean is comprised of pastors Randy Phillips, Shawn Craig, and Dan Dean. More than 23 years into their storied career, Phillips Craig & Dean continues to offer 24 number one hits and an evening of songs poised to minister to the hurting, lead believers in powerful praise, and point the broken to Christ.
Since Phillips Craig & Dean are all senior pastors at churches in Texas and Missouri, it’s no surprise that their songs connect with the audience so effectively. As Dan Dean notes, “I think all the songs we perform are part of the experiences that we go through day to day with our church people. I can look back over the course of a number of albums and see particular songs that were inspired by something at church or a message I heard at a church service. Other songs are just stuff you live every day. I would say 90 percent of the things we write are born out of experiences going through life as pastors.”
“Sometimes I get very sentimental,” says Randy Phillips. “When I hear a song from an earlier CD, it takes me back to a place early in our career that’s so precious to us. It’s just been a great journey. I don’t think any of us thought that 20 plus years later we’d still be together, still be making songs that people seem to embrace. It’s been a wonderful journey and we thank God for His goodness.”
Since forming more than 20 years ago, Fair Trade Services’ Phillips, Craig & Dean has released 14 albums, garnered 24 No. 1 radio hits, sold more than three million records, won two GMA Dove Awards (with 10 nominations), including Inspirational Album of the Year for its 2009 release, Fearless. The trio’s 13th studio album, Above it All, released in November, 2014.
