Attend the 22nd Annual Madrigal Concert put on by the Leelanau Children’s Choir and Leelanau Youth Ensemble the weekend of December 5 & 6. Enjoy an evening of holiday filled fun with entertaining and enjoyable music!

The Leelanau Children’s Choir and Leelanau Youth Ensemble, founded in 1992, continue to provide dedicated young singers the opportunity to develop their talents and discipline. The groups perform two concerts every year, a Christmas Madrigal and a Spring Concert incorporating the best from Broadway and the America Songbook.

The group’s mission statement, “Changing the Future One Voice at a Time,” reflects the goal to train children to sing beautifully according to the highest standards, to integrate musical literacy and performance practice, and to return the gift of song to our community. Leelanau Children’s Choir and Youth Ensemble foster the personal and social growth of members and promote their sense of self-esteem, self-discipline, accomplishment, and pride. The youth that participate in the choirs discover new friendships and build their musical resumes, preparing them for future opportunities.
