Each piece has its own narrative in this fresh, globally inspired holiday vignette by Traverse City designers Kristin Lutz and Kim Hooker of Cedar Creek Interiors. The designers tell us that the blue-green color palette was inspired by the deep aqua of the Asian antique cocktail table. The cheese boards are hewn from 19th-century hardwood beams salvaged from Eastern European buildings. The demijohn wine bottles and cloche on the cake stand are made from recycled antique Hungarian bottles and the aqua and mercury glass bottles are nested on a sterling silver mirror tray that is fashioned from a circle of stirrups (equestrians take note!). The comfortable backdrop for all of this style is a custom, down sofa covered in charming holiday pillows.
