The first performance is on Saturday, October 11 at 8 pm at the Crooked Tree Arts Center in Petoskey. Peter Madcat Ruth is a Grammy Award winning harmonica player and has an international reputation. He is based in Ann Arbor but has wowed audiences world-wide. According to Performance Magazine, Madcat is “a harmonica virtuoso who is rapidly approaching legend status.” Expect to be blown away by Peter Madcat Ruth! He sings and plays ukulele, guitar, high-hat, jaw-harp, penny-whistle, kalimba, banjo and other folk instruments from around the world.

Beethoven + Berg with Caroline Goulding at Corson Auditorium in Interlochen, Sunday, October 19 at 3 pm

CarolineGoulding3On Sunday, October 19 at Corson Auditorium Grammy-nominated 21-year-old violinist Caroline Goulding returns to perform Berg’s intensely beautiful concerto, dedicated “to the memory of an angel.” Variations of Bach’s Es ist genug are featured throughout. Perhaps the most widely-recognized symphony in the world, Beethoven’s famous Fifth displays white hot, staggering power.
