Every year Northern Home & Cottage, a publication of MyNorth Media, is honored to work with a charity benefactor of our Northern Home & Cottage Home Tour. The Northern Home & Cottage Tour has generated more than $7,000 in charitable donations in past years. In 2014, Northern Home & Cottage 2014 Home Tour supports Child & Family Services of Northwestern Michigan, with the proceeds of ticket sales.
Child and Family Services of Northwestern Michigan has roots going back 100 years, serving first as a branch of the Michigan Children’s Aid Society. The organization has grown in service to the area and now provides support to Northern Michigan families in many ways, including:
- Foster care
- Adoption services
- Counseling for parents at all stages
- Safe haven for supervised visits and care
- Support for parents of children with severe emotional and behavioral challenges
There are so many good and deserving Northern Michigan organizations that is always a difficult choice to make. MyNorth Media is confident that the investment we make in Child & Family Services of Northwestern Michigan benefits our community as a whole.
