Two Northern Michigan wine tasting rooms opened in the fall of 2013 in Leelanau County wine country: Three Fires Wine and Skipping Stone Cellars both in the Leelanau County town of Suttons Bay. Started by Dave and Ileana Habsburg-Snyder, the Grand Opening took place in October.

The tasting rooms are located side-by-side on M22 at Hilltop Road in the beautiful Leelanau County just south of Suttons Bay in the West Bayshore Village. All of the house wines are made entirely from Michigan grapes. The tasting menu offers three balanced and complex white wines and four red wines made from classic European red vinifera varietals. For those who prefer lighter or sweeter wine, try Skipping Stone Cellars white and rose’ wines that range from dry to sweet. Join the tasting room crew for special events offered throughout the year. Compare wines from various Michigan producers in a blind tasting event, or enjoy entertainment and competition at Kidnap Trivia or Murder Mystery.
