Northern Michigan Events: On September 21, the 3rd annual High Tea for Breast Cancer ABC Challenge Walk will take place in Elk Rapids after two years at Bellaire’s Shanty Creek Resorts. Women and men will challenge themselves with [up to] a ten mile walk to help families affected by breast cancer by participating in the third annual High Tea ABC Challenge Walk at Memorial Park in Elk Rapids.

“This year’s route will be an easy, flat 10-mile course through Elk Rapids’ downtown area before crossing under US 31 to the east side of Elk Rapids,” says organizer Jami Gray. “The initial year’s Challenge Walk was almost too challenging with the changing elevations throughout Shanty Creek; this year we wanted a gentler path but still a beautiful backdrop.”

This year's ABC Walk will be part of the Elk Rapids Fall Festival, which will begin shortly after the Challenge Walk. All proceeds benefit Antrim County High Tea for Breast Cancer Prevention.

The event begins and ends at Memorial Park, and will start at 9am. To register, visit snapregistration.com or contact Jami Gray at jamigray72@gmail.com.
