Northern Michigan Events: Join Little Traverse Bay Humane Society for Howl at the Moon from 6-9 p.m. on Thursday, August 22, at the Harbor Springs Airport!

For the past 13 years, Howl at the Moon has been an exciting and fun-filled evening with one goal: To raise essential funds for Little Traverse Bay Humane Society. And this year’s event will certainly be an evening to remember!

Kick-off begins at 6 p.m. with a variety of mouth-watering specialties served by local restaurants, delicious refreshments, music by JUSDUIT, and the start of the silent auction. More than 150 items will be on display including gift certificates, jewelry, furniture, food baskets, items for your furry friend and more!

After the silent auction closes, the thrill of the live auction begins! We are delighted to welcome back auctioneer extraordinaire, Jim Miller, who will entertain and amuse attendees. This year’s live auction includes the always popular New York City Westminster Dog Show, Deter’s Dad’s Perch aboard Walstrom’s tugboat, Ottawa, with music provided by Pete Kehoe, a cooking class for 12 at Crooked Tree Breadworks with specialty beer from Beards Brewery, an original 20 by 24 inch framed landscape of your favorite view by renowned Harbor Springs artist, Trisha Witty, and other exciting items you won’t want to miss!

In addition to the auction items, 50 raffle tickets are available for a trip to Chicago that includes two round-trip flights from Pellston or Detroit to Chicago courtesy of Lakeshore Express, up to a five-night stay at an exclusive Gold Coast one bedroom condominium with a balcony close to Navy Pier and Michigan Avenue shops, drinks at the top of the John Hancock Building and a $200 gift card to Trattoria No. 10! Tickets are available for $100 each. The winner will be announced at Howl at the Moon on Thursday, August 22.

Because Little Traverse Bay Humane Society is 100 percent donor funded, Howl at the Moon is crucial to ensuring that every animal who comes through our doors receives exceptional care. The proceeds from this event will help us provide warm shelter, veterinary services, food and unconditional love to every animal in our care, as well as proactive methods to control pet overpopulation.

Please help us make this the most successful Howl at the Moon yet! Tickets are $100 in advance or $125 at the door. This event always sells out so please purchase tickets early. For event details or to purchase tickets, please visit ltbhs.com or call 231.347.2396.
