Laurentide 2011 Sauvignon Blanc Estate
Leelanau Peninsula. Pale, bright and silky in the glass. Classic forward varietal nose of white grapefruit, lemon, and sugar snap pea. Palate is complex, lush and exotic with red grapefruit, lime zest, kiwi, and a finish of Meyer lemon and chalk. This is a classic fresh goat cheese salad partner. Use tiny beets, young arugula, great olive oil, fresh citrus squeezes and maybe some Graeber olives. Would also be lovely with fresh roasted or grilled asparagus with hollandaise.
