Northern Michigan Events: If you missed registration for this year’s M-22 Challenge, there are still several ways to take part in the fun of M-22 events and the beauty of Northern Michigan. Gather a group of three and sign up for the first Annual M-22 Team Challenge taking place at the Homestead Resort on October 19th. Much like the M-22 Challenge the new course offers an opportunity for athletes representing their small companies or large corporations to compete in a challenging and breathtakingly beautiful event. The organizers hope to grow the event into a full “Team Building” weekend at the resort. Starting at Leelanau County’s Homestead Resort in Glen Arbor, the course is designed to test athletes against Lake Michigan’s water, coastal terrain and the area’s environmental elements.

The M-22 Challenge is a multi-discipline event that combines running, cycling, and paddling in to a 22-mile race. Started five years ago by the founders of the popular Michigan brand “M-22”, the M-22 Events Team—Matt Sr., Matt and Keegan Myers are amazed at the growth and how quickly the event fills up every year. According to Matt Myers, the growing popularity of the race parallels the growing attraction of Northern Michigan. “People are drawn to the vibe and atmosphere of the event,” he adds. The event survey last year revealed that participants were struck overwhelmingly with the high quality organization of the event and camaraderie of participants as well the scenery.

In support of the event, the brothers are proud to present the M-22 Challenge website where detailed course information and event updates can be found. Go to:

Another way to take part in all the fun this year is to volunteer. Volunteers are still needed for the M-22 Challenge and all will enjoy a free shirt, great party, and amazing experience at the event. Please use this link to sign up.
