Traverse City Events: The Dennos Museum Center at Northwestern Michigan College will present The Four Bitchin’ Babes in the production “Mid Life Vices…A Guilt Free Musical Revue!” on Saturday, April 13, 2013 at 8 PM in Milliken Auditorium. Tickets are $25 advance, $28 at the door and $22 for museum members (plus fees). Tickets may be purchased on line at dennosmuseum.org or by calling the box office at 231-995-1553.
The Dennos Museum Center’s galleries are open one hour before the concert for ticket holders and for a reception with the performers following the concert.
The Four Bitchin’ Babes are Sally Fingerett, Debi Smith, Deirdre Flint, and Marcy Marxer, an original tour de force musical comedy theatre troupe with a 20+ year career on-stage and in-studio, releasing nine recordings and a full length concert DVD. These four accomplished and seasoned musician-actress-comediennes take turns in the spotlight filling it with whimsical songs and shtick, presenting the hippest and most luxurious girl group harmonies “evah!” With elegant wit, sophisticated (never blue) stand-up humor, and enough bling to hypnotize the first five rows of any theatre, they create an evening of wildly fun and raucous delight!
This “Renegade Sorority” of modern women vows to age gracefully—but refuse to go quietly! Continuing to showcase their “BABES” signature brand of estrogen-infused mayhem and award winning songwriting, they set to music their collective Mid Life Crises and the inherent need for Mid Life Vices! Tunes from the wackiest of viewfinders offering a peek into the mind of an exhausted perfectionist with “Woulda, Coulda, Shoulda,” an absolutely organized scatterbrain in “Just in Case” and a loving look at romance in “Dim the Lights.”
With tongue in cheek, this Fabulous Female Folkestra brings a hilarious new stage revue that musically examines the lives of the boomer generation, finding self-acceptance, grace and humor. The audience is invited to sit back and laugh (and sing along!) knowing they are not alone on this winding path we call life!
