Traverse City Restaurants: During the entire month of April, Phil’s On Front is donating half /the proceeds from entrees purchased between Sunday and Wednesdays to four local non-profit organizations.
The four organizations that will benefit from the contributions are: The Goodwill, Inn Father Fred, Third Level and Inland Seas.
“We want to help those who are struggling because of the economy or personal difficulties right now,” Phil Murray, chef-owner of Phil’s on Front, said. “These are four organizations that help the people of the Traverse City area in a variety of ways — providing food and clothing to the needy, helping the homeless and fostering stewardship of our Great Lakes.”
Phil’s has a tradition of taking an active role in serving the community. On Christmas, the restaurant offered a free, plated holiday dinner, complete with music and traditional holiday food, to anyone on a first-come, first served basis.
“It’s all part of being a good neighbor,” Murray said. “Giving back to the community is very important to me. Everything I do is with the intent of bringing people together.”
Phil’s On Front is located at 236 East Front Street in downtown Traverse City. For more information, call 231-929-1710 or visit philsonfront.com.
