Northern Michigan Events: The Suttons Bay Chamber of Commerce will be partnering with the TART Trails Inc. to launch a new winter fun-raising festival in the Village of Suttons Bay. 

On Saturday February 16, 2013 the pair of organizations will sponsor the first annual YetiFest™. This event will primarily feature a bicycle hill climb competition regardless of weather conditions. “The course is still being determined,” claimed Wally Delamater the Suttons Bay Village Supervisor “but essentially it will have its beginning somewhere around the village center and end up the hill in Bahle Park.”

 According to the SB Chamber of Commerce this special bike race will have many family friendly activities occurring in and around the village running concurrent to the bicycle challenge. Currently in the planning stages are a chili cook-off, microbrew tent, live music, an Abominable Snowman building contest, a snowmobile Concours d’Elegance, and a Yeti look-alike (best beard) contest.
