Northern Michigan Recipes: Bust out the stretchy pants, people. The snow has finally stuck and we could all use a little extra "cushion" to keep warm. (I say that now, what a different tune I'll whistle come February…) But since the season is upon us, let's cozy up the cottage with soft, sugary-sweet scents of holiday cookies. Here's four favorite recipes to have you and your family fa-la-la-ing in no time.

Lemon-Cheese Pressed Cookies

Ah yes, the ingredient that never fails: creamcheese. These little darlings stand out on the smorgasbord tray with a refreshingly sweet-citrus bite.

Gingerbread Cookies

For the traditionalist in everyone! Eat 'em up plain or gather the kids for a day of cookie decorating. Darn good and darn easy!

Snowstorm S'more Cookies

Bonfire-toasted marshmallows sandwiched between two molasses-spice cookies, and finally dipped in chocolate. Why yes, I would like one. Or nine.

Honey Cookies

This classic combination of milk and honey makes for a simple cookie—perfect with nighttime cocoa, morning coffee, or anytime at all.
