Traverse City People: Designer Angela Goodall of Traverse City’s Kitchen Choreography has been invited to help select 2013’s natural quartz, custom designer palette at Cambria Quartz. Only two designers were sent from Michigan, a total of 13 nationally and from Canada were in attendance.

Angela is co-owner (with her husband Mike Goodall) and lead-designer at Kitchen Choreography.

Cambria is the only family-owned, American-made producers of quartz counter tops and is one of few quartz producing plants in the world.

Kitchen Choreography is proud to partner with companies that parallel their core values with recycling and green practices. Cambria recycles and recovers 100 percent of the water used in its production processes through unique settling and filtering techniques.

Sustainable Design

Kitchen Choreography’s own commitment to sustainable and environmentally-friendly business practices and products include their most recent green accomplishment, the restoration and preservation of Building 79 at 420 Division Street, into their new design studio. Historically known as the Steward’s Residence on The Commons property in Traverse City, the Goodalls restored the entire 3500 square foot house, from mechanicals to enhancing its original design.

“What the Goodalls have done with the interior and exterior is testimony to their attention to detail and craftsmanship—and their respect of historically significant structures,” said Raymond Minervini, a principal of The Minervini Group.

Some of Kitchen Choreography’s green products and methods include:

1. Water Based Finish

2. Recycled Glass and Corian Counter tops

3. Crushed Granite Tops

4. Woods from Sustainable Forestry Management

5. KCMA Certified Cabinetry Suppliers

6. MDF Materials

7. Packaging Materials are Reused and Recycled

8. Wood scraps are used for heating

For nearly a decade the Kitchen Choreography team of in-house designers, project managers, interior designers and installation crews has been dedicated to excellence in kitchen and bath design and re-design throughout Michigan, with a focus on northern Michigan.
