With thunderous drums combined with breathtakingly graceful yet athletic dances, the Royal Drummers and Dancers of Burundi channel the pulsating rhythmic energy and creative spirit of a nation. One of the greatest percussion ensembles in the world, the Drummers have passed their traditions and techniques to each generation for centuries. The "Burundi beat" has influenced musicians from Joni Mitchell to Adam Ant.
