Porterhouse Productions bring an October Festival to the Commons

The biggest and best October Festival in Traverse City history is happening on Friday, October 12 from 5 pm until 10 pm, at the Grand Traverse Commons.  Michigan's own Greensky Bluegrass with very special guests The Joshua Davis Band and Lindsay Lou & the Flatbellys will be performing also.  Roaming Harvest, Curbie, Totally Baked Wood Fired Pizza, Silver Spork and more are some of the delicious foods that will be available.  The evening will also include a Silent Disco with DJ Dominate, Glow in the Dark LED Disc Golf, crackling bonfires, heated tents and  FREE shuttle rides to and from the Old Town Parking Deck.

Jordan River Arts Council Announces the 7th Rare Threads Fiber Arts Show

Now through November 3, the 7th Rare Threads Fiber Arts Show – fibersfantastic – is at the Jordan River Arts Center in East Jordan. The show features over 1020 works of fiber art.  The gallery is located at 301 Main St.in East Jordan and is open Tuesday through Sunday 1-4 pm.

Do Not Miss the Acrobat's Death Defying Chair Act at the Dennos Museum Center on October 12 at 8 pm.

The Golden Dragon Acrobats represent the best of a time honored Chinese tradition that began more than two thousand years ago.  Direct from Hebei, China, the Golden Dragon Acrobats have thrilled audiences all over the world.  Their amazing artistry, beautiful costumes and props provide a visual feast for the entire family to enjoy.  After sellout performances the last two seasons we are thrilled to be able to have them return to Milliken Auditorium for another encore performance.  Click here to see them in action.
