Northern Michigan Winery: TC West Senior High School Thespian Society returns to the woods at Northern Michigan winery Black Star Farms for more spooky Northern Michigan Halloween fun during the Haunted Hayrides on the Farm at 7:00 p.m. October 19, 20, 26 and 27, 2012.

In 2011 TC West student thespians provided twelve hours of scary entertainment to participants. Scenes were so realistic one individual even thought about calling 911…The event was successful and earned $1,782 in donations to the student group.

Miles of wooded trails, old barns and a bonfire area make the Northern Michiagn winery and farm in Suttons Bay a perfect venue for haunted hayrides. Participants board a wagon that takes them into the dark woods and old orchards on the farm. Along the ride they will encounter various scary scenes developed and acted by the TC West Senior High School Thespian Society. Scenes include wicked clowns, a mad butcher, insane bats, a crazy doctor, zombies from below and much more.

The trail rides are approximately 10-15 minutes long and are $10 per person. Due to the subject matter of the scenes and the surprises lurking in the woods, the rides are recommended for those 12 years and older as well as individual who appreciates a good scream.

Rides begin and end at the Hearth & Vine Café where ghostly refreshments, warm cider and wine will be served. The farm in Suttons Bay is home to the Inn at Black Star Farms, Hearth & Vine Café, and the Tasting Room/Winery. The event is open to the public and will last until 9:30 pm.
