Northern Michigan Events: The Legacy Gala is the signature fundraising event for the Michigan Legacy Art Park, an outdoor sculpture gallery located at Crystal Mountain Resort & Spa in Thompsonville, Michigan, near Traverse City.
The 2012 event will be held Saturday, August 18th at 6:00 p.m. and will feature local food and wine from Northern Michigan restaurants and Northern Michigan wineries, music by cellist Crispin Campbell, a keynote address by historic preservation architect Michael Quinn, and the presentation of the Legacy Award.
The Legacy Award is bestowed annually by Michigan Legacy Art Park to recognize those who have made a positive impact on Michigan’s arts, history or culture. The 2012 recipients of the Legacy Award will be Robert and Jane Holdeman.
Funds raised will help the Michigan Legacy Art Park continue to provide a rich cultural experience and valuable learning opportunities for thousands of area residents and visitors each year.
