The sidewalks in Little Traverse Wheelway near Bayfront Park in Petoskey will play outdoor gallery for the second annual Chalk and Chocolate event, part of Petoskey's Festival on the Bay.

Chalk and Chocolate is presented by Crooked Tree Arts Center and Top of Michigan Trails Council, and artists of all abilities are welcome! The fee to participate is $10 for the Junior Division and $20 per square for the artists, 16 years and above.

There will be three honorable mention awards in the Junior Division. For those individual artists aged 16 years and above who wish to compete, there are cash awards in two categories – Open Theme and Renaissance or Master's Reproduction. The cash award amounts are the same for both categories:

Visitors can stop by the chocolate tasting tent too!  Kilwin's Chocolates among others will be providing a chocolate tasting from 12:00 noon – 4:00  p.m. You can purchase a $5 ticket to sample delicious chocolates and vote for your favorite to win a People's Chocolate Choice Award!   All proceeds benefit Crooked Tree Arts Center and Top of Michigan Trails Council.

Businesses can have their logos chalked by a student artist on the trail and sponsorships for individual artists and general support are available. Please contact Cindy McSurely for sponsorship opportunities at cindy@crookedtree.org or 231.347.4337.
