Northern Michigan Events: Flying high on the success of  both their fourth studio album 'Travelin' Machine' and a tour, the Ragbirds return to Northern Michigan beginning July 31, 2012.

Founded in Ann Arbor in 2005, the Ragbirds are lead by front woman singer/songwriter Erin Zindle, a classically trained violinist who alternates easily between the mandolin, accordian and banjo, all the while maintaining powerful vocals. Augmenting Zindle's earthy-sweet voice is the whirlwind of a guitarist T.J. Zindle, dynamic bassist Brian Crist, drummer Loren Kranz, and standout percussionist Randall Moore. The band blends mutli-cultural rhythms with a rock-roots flavor–the result is an energetic, joyful, flirty bouquet of world sounds. This Michigan band has been called  “Highly Impressive” by  USA Today and  “Real Best Folk Artist / Group” – Real Detroit Weekly.

The Ragbird's most recent album showcases the band's skills with adventurous lyrics and their signature melange of styles, and is sure to be lauded heavily by music organizations and fans alike.

The upcoming segment of thier tour will take them through Northern Michigan, the site of the band's conception and a lot of it's inspiration. Look for them at the Traverse City Microbrewery and Music Festival among other appearances!
