Northern Michigan Events: Stroll Leland's Art Walks! Wandering a Great Lakes harbor town in the orangey-purple hues of twilight makes for a standout experience in any Northern Michigan summer. Leland galleries add to that shimmery enchantment with three Friday night Art Walks, in which participating galleries stay open late to showcase guest artists (some in attendance) and serve Leelanau wines and hors d’oeuvres. Just park your car in the village and launch your walkabout. Nearly a dozen shops join in—including Art of Roxane, Reflections Art Gallery, Sporck Tileart and Two Fish Gallery. Look for the balloons at participating shops and listen for the occasional musician.
