Northern Michigan Events: Located 20 minutes from Traverse City, Elk Rapids is a small yet beautiful Northern Michigan harbor town. This year take some time with the whole family to check out one of Elk Rapids' biggest festivals, Harbor Days, August 1-5, 2012!
With plenty of kids activities on Kid's Day (Friday August 3rd) ranging from the Diaper Derby to the Ballin' on the Bay basketball tournament as well as plenty of opportunities for parents to enjoy themselves with a microbrew tent, Hole in One Golf contest and much more, Elk Rapids Harbor Days offers something for everyone. Start your week off with fun on River Street and end it Saturday night watching the firework display on the water! Don't forget to look for kids games and activities at the MyNorth media booth and enter to win a vacation! Clean Up: Sunday August 5
7 am- Clean up Elk Rapids! Please bring your gloves and garbage bags to help keep Elk Rapids beautiful! Meet at the Dam Beach for a thorough firework clean up. We'll be dispersing cleaning crews from this location. 11 am- Worship in the Park, featuring a praise and worship service. Potluck follows the service.
